Become a Maitland cancer appeal volunteer today!
As human beings we need connection. If you want to make new friends whilst giving back to your local community, then this opportunity is for you.
We are more than just an Op shop, Maitland cancer appeal offers a free linen service to people living within limiting illness.

We also provide donations to cancer research within the hunter region.

Time Commitment: At Maitland Cancer Appeal we require you to be available on one or two days per week.

What’s next? Once you submit your application, our Volunteer Coordinator will be in contact with you. If you are a suitable candidate, you will be invited for an interview and if successful you will need to:
Complete a Volunteer Application Form which includes a Police Check and a Working with Children Check.
You will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination.
Receive training from our Op Shop team.
All activities are Centrelink approved.

What support is provided to volunteers

To Ensure the safety of our volunteers we provide the training required to work in the shop and the Laundry. Maitland Cancer Appeal have the required policies and procedures in place to maximise your potential and ensure your safety.
